My name is András. I work as a data scientist at a New York-based investment firm, doing data analysis and predictive modelling, pretty much all of it in Python.

In the past few years I have been using the great pandas library on a daily basis, so I decided to take notes about things I tend to do often and the challenges I find along the way. Hopefully these are useful for you, too.

My original background is in economics and investments, and I did all sorts of things from being a financial journalist through leading a team of equity research analysts and running the digital products of a stock brokerage company to working as an independent consultant in data analytics.
